Google Slides remains the most widely deployed presentation platform in the world for good reason — its combination of zero cost, real-time collaboration and universal device access is unmatched. For teams already working in the Google ecosystem, it is the obvious default choice, and Gemini AI integration on Business Standard plans adds meaningful capability without requiring a separate tool investment.
For users specifically seeking cutting-edge AI presentation generation, Gamma or Beautiful.ai may be more appropriate. But for everyday collaborative presentation work, Google Slides' combination of accessibility, collaboration and reliability is hard to beat. Check the pricing plans and full comparison →

Google Slides is the backbone of our team's presentation workflow. Real-time collaboration means no more emailing files back and forth — everyone edits the same deck simultaneously. The Gemini AI features on our Business Standard plan have started saving me real time on first-draft content. After years of PowerPoint, I won't go back.
Excellent for collaborative work but the AI features are meaningfully weaker than dedicated AI presentation tools if that's your priority. For everyday business presentations in a Google-first organisation, it's the obvious choice — free, accessible everywhere and real-time collaboration just works. The offline mode is slightly awkward to set up but functions well once configured.
As a teacher, Google Slides integration with Google Classroom makes it the only realistic choice for student collaboration. Students access presentations from school and home devices without any software issues. The free tier covers everything we need for educational use. The Q&A feature during live presentations is particularly useful for engaging larger class groups interactively.
