Switched from Zapier after hitting its limits and Make has been a revelation. The visual scenario builder lets me see the full automation at a glance. Operations-based pricing means complex multi-step scenarios do not cost more than simple ones. The data manipulation capabilities — JSON parsing, array manipulation, formula functions — are in a different league.
Our marketing operations team runs 40+ scenarios covering lead routing, CRM sync, email automation and reporting. Make handles all of it reliably at reasonable cost. The error handling is excellent — scenarios fail gracefully and provide clear debugging information. The AI integration modules have opened new automation possibilities.
More powerful than Zapier but requires more thought to set up correctly. The learning curve is real but worthwhile. Our e-commerce automation handles order processing, inventory updates and customer communications across six platforms without any code. The team workspaces could be improved for managing shared scenarios across departments.
