Mailchimp is the gold standard for good reason. The predictive segmentation identified a purchase-ready segment we had never consciously targeted, and the campaign to that group converted at 3.4x the rate of our standard campaigns. My frustration is the pricing at our 15,000 subscriber count — we pay considerably more than competitors offer for equivalent features.
For a business running coordinated campaigns across email, Facebook ads and SMS, Mailchimp's unified platform is invaluable. Managing all three channels from one dashboard with shared audience data means our retargeting is genuinely precise. Three years on Standard and no intention of moving.
Switched from a smaller platform and the difference in template quality and deliverability monitoring is immediately apparent. Send-time optimisation lifted our average open rate by 8 points in the first month. I wish customer support were better on the Standard plan — email-only support means response times slower than expected at this price point.
