Managing 40+ microservices across 15 repositories was overwhelming before Cody. Now I can ask how authentication is implemented across our services and get an accurate answer spanning all repos. The cross-repository context is something other AI tools fundamentally cannot do. Essential for platform engineers.
The natural language code search is the killer feature for onboarding. New engineers get up to speed three times faster when they can ask questions about the codebase and get accurate answers. Cody understands our internal frameworks and patterns in a way that generic tools do not. Enterprise pricing is steep but justified.
Strong tool specifically for large codebase navigation. The chat quality is better than expected for questions requiring understanding of relationships between services. Model choice flexibility (Claude, GPT-4, Gemini) is a genuine advantage. Would give five stars if autocomplete were as good as the chat capabilities.
